1/4 Beef Deposit

RESERVE YOUR LOCAL PASTURED BEEF NOW! This grass-fed and grain-finished beef will be ready for pick up winter 2022. We only process one beef per year as it takes 2 years to raise a calf to butcher weight.

$750 DEPOSIT required to hold your quarter. A quarter is roughly 150-250 lbs hanging weight. Pastured Beef is $12.00 per/lb, based on hanging weight, plus butcher fees. Butcher fees are determined by the Butcher at the time of processing.

Prior to your meat being processed you will be sent a custom order form to find out what cuts you would like. The actual hanging weight will be determined at processing and remaining payment is due on processing day. You will need 1 cubic feet of freezer space for every 35-40 lbs of meat. Your beef will come frozen, labelled and vacuum sealed.

Hough Heritage Farm does not offer shipping on food items. All food is picked up from the Farm Store only. Please arrange a time for pick up in advance. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges on deposits or food items.

Butcher’s Fees

Butcher fees are as follows, these fees are subject to change. Butcher fees are determined by the Butcher at the time of processing.

  • Pork on farm slaughter fee $100 per animal, custom cut and wrap fee $1.30 per lb. Bacon and Sausage are an extra $2 - $3 per lb for curing and smoking.

  • Beef on farm slaughter fee $125 per animal,, custom cut and wrap fee $1.40 per lb

  • Goat and Sheep on-farm slaughter fee $75 per animal, custom cut and wrap fee $1.30 per lb

  • Chicken $12 butcher fee per bird

  • Turkey $18 butcher fee per bird

Each animal is different so we cannot predetermine weights. You will be charged on the hanging weight of your specific animal. We try to match hanging weights to each customer's needs, if you want a smaller or larger whole or half please let us know. We will know hanging weights on processing day. Hanging weights are the carcass without the head, hide, feet and intestines/organs (offal) etc. You are not charged for the organs and they will be sold separately when available.
